Information for Teachers

Welcome to the Rendezvous with a Comet Teacher’s Guide. Here you will find materials and ideas to prepare your students for their Challenger Learning Center STEM explorations. In the teacher’s guide below you will wonderful ideas and activities. The most enjoyable part of our pre-mission activities for most students is applying for the jobs and waiting to find out what team they will work on during the mission. As the teacher the ONLY requirement is that you arrive on your mission date with a completed manifest. You can assign the jobs or use the job application below.

If you have any questions regarding matching students to jobs please contact us. The Job Descriptions document will help you.

*Please note: When choosing jobs for your students the positions with the most challenging reading levels are: PROBE and NAVIGATION. If you have students who find success in hands-on activities (with less time pressure) the ISO Teams and REMOTE are excellent positions.
