Robotics Workshops


There are three different robotics workshops you can choose from for your students! Cubelets and MOSS robotics kits use magnetized pieces in order to construct their robots. Students will complete a series of design challenges with these robotic kits, such as building a robot that can be guided through a maze. LEGO WeDos are robots that students can program to perform different actions.


Robotics Workshop Options:


3 robotics options are available:

Cubelets: For ages 5-10

LEGO WeDos: For ages 7-10

MOSS: For ages 10 and up



Up to 10 students: $350

11-20 students: $350 flat fee + $10 per student after 10 students

21-34 students: $350 flat fee + $7 per student after 10 students


Length: 2 hours


Starlab Sessions


Take a trip through the stars in our new inflatable planetarium! Using state-of-the-art Starry Night software, our Digital Starlab will take your students on a journey through the universe. Together with CLC staff, they will explore stars, planets, constellations, and more! Lessons are designed for students of all age ranges. See below for program descriptions. All Starlab shows have been correlated to the National Science Education Standards.


Number of participants: 10-25 students (plus teacher or Scout leader)

Cost: $350

Length: 2 hours (includes Starlab session and hands-on STEM activity outside of the dome)

Program descriptions:

Our Sun and Moon (Grades K-3):

In this program, students will learn about how night and day occur on Earth. We will also talk about the Moon, 22328145742_584798c39b_zand why it looks different on certain nights.

The Solar System (Grades 4-8):

In this program, students will explore the planets, as well as some of the other bodies found in our solar system: meteors, asteroids, and comets. We will also discuss seasonal change and solar and lunar eclipses.

Stellar Life (Grades 9-12):

This program begins with talking about heliocentric and geocentric models of the solar system, then goes on to cover life cycles of the stars and, finally, our Milky Way Galaxy.
