A message from the Executive Director, Steve Otten

2010-11 another great year of missions!

The Challenger Learning Center is nearing the end of another successful year of Missions completed by our area schools.

In the current 2010-11 school calendar year, we will have flown almost 300 missions enabling more then 10,000 future math and science scholars to successfully master their math, science and team assignments!

We are thankful for all of our teachers that incorporated the Challenger Learning Center's program into their daily Lesson Plan, and completed the necessary training sessions required to instruct the award winning programs.

Since the Challenger Center first opened, we have never stopped working closely with our teachers and internally, our entire team appreciates and admires every teacher's spirit and commitment to developing tomorrow's leaders.

Again, a heartfelt thank you to all of our teachers and students for a great year!

This school year was another exciting chapter in the Challenger Learning Center's quest to offer the community unique, interactive and fun math and science based programs for the entire family.

Through the Challenger's many science and math experiments and presentations, attendees to this year programs witnessed many innovative and awe inspiring examples of our earth and space,

These experiments on display at the Challenger Center from our valued partners, demonstrated the creativeness and capability of the human mind in achieving new methods of unlocking our universe.

When we unlock one aspect of space or planet earth, another intriguing finding presents itself, and to witness this event is such a unique and inspiring experience creates lifetime memories; and influences tomorrow's leaders.

The Challenger Learning Center's team of professionals and volunteers is committed to bringing the best to our community and in turn, we appreciate the community's support! Thank you everyone for your continued support of the Challenger Learning Center.

Your support enables Challenger to offer the most relevant programs to thousands of students and hundreds of families!

We understand the economy is on everyone's mind and the financial challenges to families, schools and organizations is real and affecting everyone in the community.

Accordingly, we want everyone that depends upon the Challenger Learning Center to know that we continually strive to deliver the best programs in an efficient and responsible manner. We are always seeking ways to reduce the center's expenses without affecting the quality of programs.

Next, our fundraising efforts continue through the generosity of so many people from the community. Through donations from individuals, organizations and grants from foundations and government, the Challenger Learning Center is able to offer school and public programs without interruption. Thank you for everyone's financial support of the Challenger.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to our volunteers who are absolutely the best in McHenry County! This dedicated team of professionals donates their time, expertise and positive spirit to everyone that visits the Challenger Learning Center ensuring the best possible experience is realized by all.

In closing, thank you again and we appreciate everyone's efforts in assuring the Challenger Learning Center continues to offer world class programs to tomorrow's leaders.
